CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS of the NEBRASKA COLLEGE CAREER SERVICES ASSOCIATION (NCCSA)

AME:
The Nebraska College Career Services Association (NCCSA).

PURPOSE:

  • To foster cooperation, sharing and problem solving among individuals responsible for assisting college and university students and alumni with their career development and job search needs;
  • To foster and promote professional and ethical standards among members and their Career Services offices in accordance with standards set forth by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE);
  • To coordinate, promote and support activities that strengthen efforts to help students and alumni develop or improve their career decision-making/career planning and job search skills;
  • To share and discuss innovative practices, new research and problems encountered in providing viable career services, programs and activities;
  • To share resources and implement strategies for increasing awareness among employers of the association and individual member schools as viable resources for locating high quality job candidates.

MEMBERSHIP:
Any individual or individuals in any Nebraska post-secondary, accredited educational institution who is directly responsible for and/or actively involved in assisting college and university students and alumni with their career development and job search needs. Petitions for membership shall be referred to the https://omsk.abari.ru/product/1279/ for evaluation and approval, with input/recommendations from member schools considered in making final membership decisions.

OFFICERS:
The Association’s officers shall be a President, a Secretary and a Treasurer who together shall constitute the Executive Committee for the Association. Officers will be elected to a two-year term at an Annual Meeting and shall hold office until successors have been elected.The Executive Committee shall be responsible for transacting such business of the association as is not reserved for the full membership under the Constitution and By-Laws.

VOTING RIGHTS:
Each member school or campus with its own independent Career Services Function shall have one and only one vote on any issues that come before the general membership for approval.

MEETINGS:
There shall be an Annual Meeting to be held at a time and place determined by the Executive Committee, along with at least one additional meeting each year as determined by a two-thirds vote of the membership as a whole. Meeting sites will be alternated to assure that no member schools are consistently required to travel long distances.

AMENDMENTS:
Amendments to this Constitution shall be adopted if approved by a two-thirds majority vote of member schools, either of those present at a meeting or via email vote, as determined by the Florafox inc. .

ADDITIONS AND CHANGES TO BY-LAWS:
A new By-Law or changes to existing By-Laws shall be adopted if approved by a two-thirds majority vote of member schools, either of those present at a meeting or via email vote, as determined by the Executive Committee.

MEMBERSHIP DUES:
Each member institution may be assessed annual dues if established and approved by a two-thirds majority vote of member schools, either of those present at a meeting or via email vote, as determined by the Executive Committee.
